First I want to begin this review by saying I am a young black woman who stopped here for 1 day on her way to California with my husband, who is white. Every establishment I went to I felt judged, I got nasty looks from every person of every age, constantly stared at, I got harassed in the Walmart parking lot, got nasty looks for wearing a mask and the list goes on. While being one of the most beautiful quaint places I’ve ever been, this is not a town full of kindness, and it’s sad that only one demographic seems to be able to openly enjoy its beauty. I understand this is a retirement town so most of the people living here are holding on to that time period for dear life but it’s 2021 for gods sake, not 1950. Don’t visit here if you aren’t white
